there is no best player! all you named are awesome players, but you have to give knopfler credit for his awesome style and the way he refresehd music in the 80s... hes the reason why i play without a pick

He's really good but I don't know about being the best. Certainly you have to listen to the likes of Jimmy page, Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Neal Schon, Angus young, Yngwie Malmstrom before drawing up your conclusion. But yea, Knopfler kicks ass big time.

I'm not worried, as Mark would say WhyWorry, but why are they ALL dressed in RED, BLACK and White?Surely Blue, GREEN, yellow [the very tall gutarist once wore (unusually) yellow shoes] or even pink.
