Hey All... The CN Tower is completely grounded and gets hit by lightning an average of 75 times a year. You can read uP on this and more at their website: http://www.cntower.ca/portal/S... storm took place on Aug 21, 2003. You can check out the radar tracking of it here: http://www.ontariostorms.com/2... took this video as the storm moved through downtown Toronto. The CN Tower was struck numerous times, as we're other buildings downtown. It was an incredible sight :)

I took a tour to the top of the CN Tower a couple of years ago and I asked the tour guide how often on average the CN Tower gets struck by lightning during a year. He had no idea but said it was probably a lot. In the lobby they had a few postcards of the Tower being hit by lightning. But this is the first video that I've seen of this happening. Pretty awesome! Sometimes it sucks being the tall.

If multiple lightning is striking, it's definately a supercell.
