it is because of the human obsession with remaining attractive to the opposite sex. the exact trends change but some of the more biological, physical traits that we find attractive stay the same. the media takes advantage of this obsession (which has existed for thousands of years) and plays it into making us strive for something and encourage us to be more vigorous consumers.

Yea I like it... One insight is if you see a person reading this stuff, does that not give you the tell of person anyway. What should be banned is the art of no taste.

I've been thinking on this topic for a while. Who came up with the idea of creating a stereotype for beauty? Who are we to manipulate human nature, more importantly - why are we afraid to show imperfections?It seems to me more and more females are frightened by the thought of ageing, even though it's a natural part of life. Wouldn't it be strange if nobody showed signs of age? What kind of world would we live in then?It's your imperfections that makes you beautiful girls, remember that.
