http://www.ted.com Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it happened -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every moment. This is a powerful story about how our brains define us and connect us to the world and to one another.

The science is good. The spiritual context is, however, a matter of interpretation. And who knows!? Maybe she's right. It is in any case food for thought. And the experience of togetherness and 'one-ness' is often spoken of, written about, by poets and artist. Furthermore, a feeling that perhaps we've all possibly experienced at some point in our lives. Wouldn't it be nice if what it alludes to was so???... hm....

I can,t find the right words! what can I say,I myself have Grand Mal seizures(the first one was thought to be a stroke),it,s strange that I could feel myself really relating to your talk, but when I have my seizures I have no warning whatsoever and after I have 0 recall of what happened.Any medical advice that you could pass my way would be greatly appreciated.

I thought when I first clicked on this "Oh, a boring talk". But after a minute or two, she had me hooked. I really enjoyed it; fascinating.
