Banging and sawing and plucking, banging and sawing and plucking, and on and on and on. Reich (pronounced Reich?, right?), Reich, Reich's minions. Boring, boring BORING! One has to hand it to music critics, specially the ones in NYC, in their ability to guide the artsy and hip crowd by the nose, to listen to unbearable ivory tower, Babbitt music (ironic comment on that stratospherically overrated composer's name) for the haute bourgeois. Like the US's GDP, this music is based on hot air.

I think that everything in music exists but I don't think it has all been done.I think there will always be an infinite amount new possibilities, but finding those in the face of a bunch of pedants, mainstream sound, and all the music literature that has been written-that is the hard part.

I am not voting for Obama, but i find this music very interesting.Having an open mind doesn't mean voting for a communist. In fact it means the opposite.Not that McCain is a rosy choice either.

I prefer to say that everything in music already exists, or that music exists in its entirety.but i agree that the impetus is on the musician.I think there are an infinite amount of things that can and will still be done.

I just saw them in concert, in Cologne, here in Germany. I didn't know what it'll be but I was really surprised - positively. The only thing that made me a bit sleepy was the 60-Minutes-Masterpiece in the second half. :)
